Annual New Year’s Day ride
This is a MMC signature event, a poker run with a long history filled with colorful stories. The whims of Mother Nature always make this ride interesting; sometimes “great day for a ride” interesting, and sometimes “I can’t believe I’m out here” interesting. Either way, there is big fun to be had.
Sign-up opens at 10:30 a.m., and bikes head out at Noon. We’ll ride a loop and end up back on the Capitol Square.
$10 per rider includes a souvenir mug! AMA membership is not required, but always encouraged. This is an AMA District 16 points-paying road event. Membership is not required, but If you would like to be a District 16 member, you can join at sign-up. If you can’t ride it, still stop by and say Happy New Year!
Track Days
We have a group of members who like to get out to local and national track day events to get their adrenaline hits. Beginner through advanced riders included. If you’re looking to find your and your bike’s limits, this is the most fun way and also the safest. Lots of good opportunities to ride, especially within a few hours of home. Road America and Black Hawk Farms Raceway to name a few. Too many opportunities to list, so join the group and we can get you sorted.
Supermoto track days
We also have a few members who like to set up their dirt bikes as stand-in sumo bikes for a few spring track days. This is a great way to get some early-season seat time. These track days are also on great tracks just a short ride from home.
